Residents have worked for generations to pull the abundance of their community to the surface. Even if those voices are not always heard or those faces unseen, their presence continues to be felt on the land. These images capture the built environment and human traces found in the landscape: homes, hedges, play equipment, fence ornaments, and additional ‘footprints’ of residents’ daily life. The pictures highlight marks of home and resistance, which development and public policy often attempt to erase.
